The role offers senior technical leadership and a clear path towards Director level, with responsibility for designs, calculations and client interfaces.

The position emphasizes Midlands experience, Chartered or near-chartered status (MICE or MIStructE), and a practical, client‑facing approach.

Qualifications

• Chartered or near-chartered with MICE or MIStructE.
• Experience leading structural projects in the Midlands.
• Strong technical and project management capability.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Willing to contribute to technical delivery and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural projects and own designs, calculations and reports
• Manage project delivery, resources, fees and client relationships
• Review work of others and coordinate
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring
• Attend site visits and work with clients/third parties
• Support fee proposals and business development for Birmingham team
