Job summary

Senior Structural Engineer role in an established consultancy based in Exeter. You will lead technically challenging structural schemes from feasibility through to construction, while mentoring colleagues and acting as a key client contact.

The position combines technical design with project leadership and delivery oversight, offering opportunities to influence standards and drive successful outcomes within a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural design within a consultancy
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, Building Regulations and health and safety duties
• Ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for structural schemes from concept to construction
• Produce and review calculations, reports and drawings
• Coordinate engineers and technicians to keep outputs on programme
• Work with architects, contractors and clients to resolve design issues
• Prepare scopes, fee proposals and delivery programmes
• Monitor budgets and identify variations
• Visit sites and respond to technical queries with confidence
• Coach junior staff and contribute to technical culture
