Job summary

Rodgers Leask in Derby is seeking a Structural Engineer to join an established team. You will deliver design work, inspections and site support on major infrastructure projects, while conducting concept studies and coordinating multi-discipline design efforts.

The role requires a degree in structural engineering, with experience in concrete/steel, and knowledge of BIM tools. Hybrid working and strong career progression are offered by the firm.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Structural Engineer (BEng or MEng).
• Proven ability in bids and proposals and client relations.
• Experience in reinforced concrete and steelwork design.
• Knowledge of seismic, dynamic and extreme environmental loading beneficial.
• Knowledge and use of BIM packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects.
• Concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
• Preparation of calculations, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, and inter-discipline design coordination.
• Assisting and mentoring team members to promote technical and professional development.
