Job summary
AECOM in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structures team. You will lead delivery from concept through to construction, develop economical structural solutions and mentor junior engineers.
You’ll work across Scotland and the UK on varied projects, collaborate with architects, geotechnical specialists and clients, and help grow technical capability within the team. The role offers hybrid working, strong progression, and a supportive environment focused on technical
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steelwork design.
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes EC2 and EC3.
- Experience using structural analysis software (SCIA, TEKLA or similar).
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
- Mentor graduates and less experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering delivery from concept to completion.
- Develop robust, economical structural solutions to client requirements.
- Prepare and review calculations, reports and drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, civil and services engineers.
- Provide technical guidance and review work of others.
- Support professional development and CPD requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with UK standards and project needs.
