Contract Scotland, a well-established engineering consultancy in west Scotland, seeks a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their team, leading projects from concept to completion, managing client relationships, mentoring graduates and delivering technically challenging building structures across commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes.

You will design and analyse concrete, steel, masonry and timber to Eurocodes and British Standards, liaise with architects and contractors to secure

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years post-graduate experience in a consultancy focused on building structures.
• Working towards or chartered status.

Responsabilités

• Develop structural scheme designs and detailed solutions for building projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use).
• Carry out design and analysis of structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, masonry and timber to current Eurocodes/British Standards.
• Liaise with architects, contractors and clients to agree safe, buildable and cost-effective solutions.
• Attend site meetings and inspections as required; support construction-phase queries and problem-solving.
• Apply a pragmatic approach to design, considering site constraints, buildability, programme and sustainability.
