Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer in Plymouth/Exeter to deliver structural services on building and heavy civil projects. You will work within the Building Engineering unit and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure feasibility through detailed design.

You'll supervise graduates, coordinate with specialists, and engage with clients, while applying Eurocode standards. The role supports hybrid work arrangements and includes potential site travel and security

Qualifications

• Chartered with IStructE or ICE.
• Degree educated or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience on defence projects or heavy civil structures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering services on building/heavy civil projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Assist with the commercial and financial control of projects.
• Inspect and assess building/civil structures.
• Supervise Graduate Engineers to ensure technical standards.
• Direct Technicians to produce drawings and communicate solutions.
• Prepare and produce technical reports and documents.
• Deliver design solutions and manage project tasks.
