Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join the Building Engineering Unit's Structures team in Plymouth. You will lead structural projects across defence and commercial sectors, from feasibility to construction support, delivering innovative solutions for clients.

You'll work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment with engineers, technicians and specialists, shaping project delivery and growth within a dynamic team that collaborates across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Chartered status with IStructE or ICE preferred.
• Strong analysis and technical skills essential.
• Proven track record in delivering projects and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural projects and ensure successful delivery across sectors.
• Engage with clients to define requirements, present proposals and report progress.
• Manage commercial, technical and managerial aspects, supervising engineers and technicians.
• Perform structural analyses, calculations and produce independent design reports.
