Job summary

BakerHicks is looking for a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join our London team and provide expert support on various projects. You will take ownership of specific structural design packages, ensuring they meet all quality, cost, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong, current knowledge of structural design codes and standards.
• Proven experience in delivering design for building structures, foundations, and site investigations.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS clearance at minimum, SC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural design packages to agreed quality and programme.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery.
• Conduct self-checks and maintain accuracy in technical work.
• Identify risks and escalate issues appropriately.

Skills

Knowledge of structural design codes

Experience in building and infrastructure design

Ability to work in multi-discipline design teams

Strong understanding of technical assurance processes

Education

Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or CEng MIStructE)
