Job summary

ICE Recruit is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead and mentor a small engineering team within a growing practice. You will contribute to end-to-end design and delivery, engage with clients at advisory and conceptual stages, and help prepare fee proposals.

The role involves collaboration with architects and developers, and occasional site visits. You should have six years or more of design consultancy experience, a 2:1 civil/structural degree, and be chartered or near-chartered with

Job description

Your Role:

To support a structural associate manage a small team of capable engineers and technicians. There will be end-to-end involvement in the design and delivery process that will engage your technical and management skills. You will provide input at client advisory and conceptual stages, assist with the preparation of fee proposals, and support the development of the structures division. The position will involve extensive contact with architects, developers and design and build contractors. There will be occasional client and site visits.

Your Profile:

Six or more years design consultancy experience and a 2:1 degree, or above in civil or structural engineering. You should hold chartered or incorporated status (or be on the cusp of chartership) with the IStructE or ICE ,and have knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design, accompanied by the ability to think laterally. The position calls for a good communicator who can collaborate well with clients and colleagues.
