A respected and design-led structural and civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Chartered Structural Engineer to join their London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated engineer to take a leading role in delivering innovative and sustainable building structures across a range of sectors.
The Role
As a Senior Chartered Structural Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of complex structural projects, including high-rise and large-scale RC framed buildings. You'll work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver technically excellent and commercially sound solutions, while mentoring junior staff and supporting the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design of high-rise and reinforced concrete framed buildings.
Oversee delivery of structural solutions from concept to construction.
Collaborate directly with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Ensure technical quality and compliance with UK codes and standards.
Support the strategic development of the London office.
Requirements
Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStructE or ICE.
Minimum 7 years' experience in structural engineering.
Demonstrated experience in high-rise and RC framed building design.
Strong technical and analytical skills in structural materials including steel, concrete, and timber.
Proficiency in structural analysis and BIM-related software.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
