Job summary

Ferrovial Construction seeks a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and coordinate structural design across water and wastewater infrastructure. You will oversee integration with civil, geotechnical and process disciplines, ensuring compliance with UK standards and Eurocodes.

You will manage external designers, mentor teams, and drive value engineering and digital design solutions, contributing to high-profile civil projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects with significant structural scope.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and complex project environments.
• Desirable: experience with temporary works.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for structural engineering across water and wastewater projects.
• Lead the design and coordination of structural elements within treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and related infrastructure.
• Provide expert input from early development and tender stages through construction and handover.
• Manage external designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure practical, buildable designs.
