Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Chartered Engineer to lead structural engineering across water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UK. You will drive design coordination for treatment plants, pumping stations, and reservoirs, ensuring excellence from tender through handover.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, apply Eurocodes and UK standards, and contribute to value engineering and digital design initiatives.

Qualificações

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects with significant structural scope, particularly within the water sector.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• In-depth knowledge of UK design standards, Eurocodes and construction practices.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the technical authority for structural engineering across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Lead the design and coordination of structural elements within treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and associated infrastructure.
• Provide expert technical input from early development and tender stages through to construction and handover.
• Manage and coordinate external designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Hands on attitude with strong analytical skills and ability to perform calculations using both relevant design codes and first principles.
• Ensure integration between civil, geotechnical, process and other disciplines.
• Identify, assess and manage technical risks and opportunities in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UK standards, Eurocodes, and Ferrovial engineering governance requirements.
• Promote innovation, value engineering, digital engineering and standardisation of design solutions.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure structural designs are practical, buildable and aligned with delivery strategies.
