Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group has partnered with a leading structural steel contractor to recruit an experienced Tekla Detailer for their Wakefield team. You will convert engineering information into detailed models and drawings for fabrication and erection, coordinating with engineers, project managers, fabrication teams and site personnel to keep projects moving.

Knowledge of Tekla Structures and fabrication drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Tekla Detailer / Structural Steel Detailer
• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures
• Experience producing fabrication, assembly and erection drawings
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings
• Understanding of how structural steel is fabricated and erected
• Experience working to project deadlines and managing your own detailing workload

Responsibilities

• Produce fabrication, assembly, GA and erection drawings for manufacture and site
• Interpret engineering information and turn complex requirements into practical steelwork details
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabrication teams and site personnel to keep projects moving
• Resolve detailing issues before they reach workshop or site
• Manage revisions, material information and project outputs through to completion
