Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer for our Silverstone facility to advance high-performance race car structures through advanced simulations and FEA. You will drive structural integrity across key systems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to push designs from concept through race deployment.

You will apply laminate theory, ply-level criteria, and robust verification to ensure lightweight, safe, and competitive components,

Qualifications

Proven experience with structural simulations and FEA for high-performance race car structures.
Experience with composites, laminate theory and ply-level failure criteria.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

Lead structural simulations and optimisations across critical car systems for weight-efficient, robust designs.
Perform advanced linear/nonlinear, buckling, fatigue analyses and optimisations using industry tools.
Conduct composite structure analyses with laminate theory and manufacturing constraints.
Collaborate with design teams to refine load paths and influence design from concept to track deployment.
Define, scrutinise and validate structural load cases aligning with regulations.
Prepare documentation and present findings in technical reviews.
Lead improvements to analysis workflows and modelling accuracy; develop best practices.
