Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team in the United Kingdom (Silverstone) is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join our world-class engineering crew. You will drive the development of high-performance racing car structures through detailed simulations, FEA, and advanced optimisation, shaping integrity and track-ready performance.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and push analytical boundaries in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Bachelor, Master or PhD).
• Experience with FEA tools and advanced structural analyses.
• Strong knowledge of laminate theory and composites.
• Experience with Python/TCL for automation scripting is desirable.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural simulations and optimisations across critical car systems.
• Perform advanced structural analyses using FEA tools (linear/nonlinear, buckling, fatigue).
• Conduct composite structure analyses with laminate theory and manufacturing constraints.
• Collaborate with design groups to challenge concepts and refine load paths.
• Define and validate structural load cases for regulatory alignment.
• Prepare documentation and present findings in technical reviews.
• Improve analysis workflows and modelling accuracy within the Structure group.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers.
