Job summary

Global Payments seeks a strategic leader to own competitive position, merchant propositions, and cross-functional programs. You’ll translate ideas into measurable outcomes and align stakeholders across product, commercial, and technology.

You’ll shape the company’s M&A strategy, identify opportunities in new markets, and deliver executive-ready recommendations for the board.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, private equity, or a strategy focused role within a financial institution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex strategic initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and storytelling skills, including experience preparing materials for C-suite leaders and Boards of Directors.
• Deep interest in payments, financial technology, software, commerce, and emerging technology trends, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across a complex organization.
• A highly proactive, ownership-oriented leadership style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute merchant propositions across key segments to deliver client value and boost performance.
• Lead cross-functional projects and translate strategy into measurable outcomes with stakeholder alignment.
• Shape M&A strategy by identifying opportunities that expand capabilities and enter new markets.
• Own market assessments and translate insights into actionable strategies for future success.
• Prepare executive-ready recommendations and materials for senior leaders and the Board.
