Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in London is seeking a Business and Strategy professional to join the International Strategy team. You will shape and drive strategy and execution priorities for our Platforms business outside North America.

You’ll own diverse projects across the strategy lifecycle, from scoping to execution, and present clear, decision-oriented insights to senior leaders. This hybrid role is based in London with Europe focus and occasional ANZ collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategy and project-based business change delivery work.
• Curiosity to understand underlying challenges and what needs to change.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify opportunities and turn them into discreet projects.
• Experience of quantitative market research and knowledge of ISV-led payments and B2B2C business models.
• Ability to navigate change with confidence in a global environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support discreet projects to support the strategy from scope to execution.
• Own and deliver aspects of periodic strategy refreshes for the International Platforms business.
• Monitor and analyse trends shaping the payments ecosystem and industry economics.
• Assess strategic implications of market movements for products, customers, partnerships and geography.
• Develop market expansion plans and requirements.
• Identify emerging opportunities and risks, separating structural changes from short-term moves.
• Produce and present concise, decision-oriented reports for senior leadership.

We’re looking for a Business and Strategy professional to become a core member of our International Strategy team, to shape and drive the strategy and execution priorities of our business and help shape the future of global commerce.

What You’ll Own

Our team defines and executes what the business needs most, so can be varied across functions and disciplines depending on the project. We provide thought-leadership and translate it to practical objectives and plans which we execute for the business. Examples of work you will own and drive include:

• Driving and supporting discreet projects to support the strategy. Full range of the project life-cycle from scope, initiate and execute strategic projects derived from the analysis
• Owning and delivering aspects of periodic strategy refreshes for the International Platforms business.
• Monitoring and analysing trends shaping the payments ecosystem, including changes in customer behaviour, technology, regulation, payment methods, distribution models, and industry economics.
• Assessing the strategic implications of market movements for the company’s products, customers, partnerships, and geographic footprint.
• Developing market expansion plans and requirements.
• Identifying emerging opportunities and risks, distinguishing structural changes from short-term market developments.
• Producing and presenting concise, decision-oriented reports and presentations for senior leadership.

About The Team

Our Strategy team for Platforms, International is responsible for the growth of our Platforms business outside of North America and Canada. The team is HQ’d out of London with a significant presence in Australia covering the needs of the ANZ organisation. This is a hybrid role based in London with responsibilities primarily within Europe, however as needs arise we support projects in ANZ too.
