Job summary

PerkinElmer, Inc. is recruiting a Strategic Product Manager - TEA to own the product segment's roadmap, pricing strategy, and P&L, guiding long-term value creation in analytical instrumentation.

Reporting to the VP Materials Characterisation, you will lead NPIs, build robust business cases, and shape commercial positioning while partnering with R&D, marketing, and regional teams in a hybrid work arrangement across HQ and offices near High Wycombe.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in product management, strategy, or commercial leadership in analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment.
• Experience owning a product roadmap and leading NPIs through full commercialisation.
• Direct technical knowledge of relevant product segments and key markets.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the 3-5 year product roadmap for the assigned segment.
• Develop NPI business cases: market sizing, competitive positioning, financial modelling, and value quantification.
• Own gate progression for NPIs from concept to commercial launch approval.
• Translate Market Requirements Documents into product requirements and R&D briefs.
• Drive the long-term technology roadmap in collaboration with R&D leadership.
• Lead and develop NPI PMs and an Operations PM; foster a customer insight and commercial discipline.
• Ensure clean handoffs between launch and ongoing portfolio execution.
