Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Storage Infrastructure in London. You will join the ETI Storage Infrastructure team, building the next generation of globally distributed storage services and owning code from design to release.

You’ll work with Rust/Go/Python, design provisioning systems, and improve reliability and performance at massive scale. Expect a fast-paced environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Rust, Go or Python.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts like consistency, consensus, data replication, fault tolerance, and partition tolerance.
• Experience with distributed databases and storage systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and tooling such as SaltStack or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• You will own code from inception to release across all stack layers, write design documents for provisioning systems, model failure domain dependencies, benchmark storage hardware, and build observability/runbooks for distributed DB clusters, using Rust/Go/SaltStack/Terraform.
