Job summary

Hedge Fund in London is seeking a Storage Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale storage services that scale with growth. You’ll work on on-prem, NAS and cloud storage platforms, optimizing performance and automating tool development.

You should have deep Linux experience, expertise with NFS/GPFS/Lustre/Ceph and strong knowledge of observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana. Salary is £120K+ with on-site in London.

Qualifications

• Experience in an infrastructure role with a strong focus on Storage and Linux.
• Strong expertise with distributed storage systems and storage protocols (NFS, GPFS, WEKA, Lustre, Ceph etc).
• Experience with storage performance analysis and optimisation.
• Experience with tools such as Chef or Ansible
• Good Python and automation skills (Go or Rust also useful)
• Experience with modern software development best practices - Version control, agile development, CI/CD etc
• Knowledge of observability (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana etc)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade storage services that can scale with the company’s growth.
• Day-to-day you’ll work across storage infrastructure design and deployment, performance tuning, monitoring improvements and automation and tool development.
