The NHS is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for its Paediatric Haematology Day Unit at St Mary's Hospital in London. This role involves overseeing patient care for various conditions, providing leadership in nursing, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. We are looking for a Band 6 Paediatric Nurse who has the expertise, experience and passion to develop the service in conjunction with world renowned clinicians and senior nursing team.
Our paediatric haematology day unit at St Mary's Hospital specialises in the care of children with Haemaglobinopathies, Oncological conditions, red cell disorders and bone marrow failure syndromes. Children who have undergone bone marrow transplant and gene therapy also regularly attend the unit for follow up and ongoing care.
We provide a comprehensive service for the management of children with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia, including a dedicated teenage and young adult transition service. We are the specialist Haemoglobinopathy centre in the Paediatric Imperial Red Cell Network, providing tertiary services to local patients and outreach services to Haemoglobinopathy patients at hospitals across North West London.
