As a Senior StaffNurse at our Barts Hospital,you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior StaffNurse,you will:

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital: The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital is now open. This is our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.

The new hospital will consist of:

• 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
• 28 consultation rooms
• Three digital operating theatres
• Cardiac catheterisation lab
• Specialist intensive care beds
• Oncology day unit
• Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
• Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
