Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) is seeking a highly motivated senior staff nurse to join the female PICU ward. The role requires clinical leadership, staff development, and delivering high standards of patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

You will rotate across specialty areas and work 24/7 shifts, contributing to the trust's commitment to safe, effective, person-centred care. DBS checks and ongoing professional registration with the NMC are required.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or experience.
• On-going registration with the NMC.
• Understanding of Health and Safety policies.
• Knowledge of how research has influenced practice.
• Knowledge of common mental health problems and medications.
• Supervision and management of staff.
• Experience mentoring/assessing student staff.
• Experience interacting therapeutically with distressed individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and motivate staff to develop and maintain high professional standards.
• Promote and maintain high standards of care while supporting and implementing local and national strategies.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, leadership and staff development skills.
• Rotate across specialty areas and cover 24/7 shifts.
