You must be an experienced band 5 or band 6 nurse (paediatric or adult) with haematology/oncology experience. You will have the opportunity to share and develop knowledge and skills in caring for a range of solid tumours and haematology cancers. You will be required to demonstrate experience and skills in this area and have leadership, development and organisation skills in order to coordinate safe and efficient delivery of care to this patient group.

Our unit is committed to the care of young people going through a difficult time in their lives; we work closely with the Teenage Cancer Trust to treat the young person and not just the cancer. The unit has a group of dedicated nurses who aim to make the unit a pleasant environment.

  • Work with (and educate) more junior members of the team and student nurses to promote excellent standards of practice.
