Senior Staff for Quality

The successful candidate will work as a Senior Staff Nurse for Quality within an established team, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating current care, while participating in the development of new clinical and administrative practices to enhance the excellent service we currently provide.

Main duties of the job

The Quality Nurse on the Elective Surgical Unit will play a key role in maintaining and improving patient care standards, focusing on ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical effectiveness.

Job responsibilities

• Clinical Governance & Patient Safety: ensuring compliance with infection control, medication safety, and clinical policies; leading root cause analyses, investigations of near misses, and monitoring audit results.
• Staff Training and Development: providing training and education, supporting students, and managing assessors and supervisors.
• Patient Experience and Satisfaction: gathering feedback and leading patient-focused initiatives to improve the elective surgery experience.
• Data Management and Reporting: collecting and analyzing KPIs such as infection rates, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining legal compliance.
