You Are:

You are a highly skilled and experienced Applications Engineer with a passion for hardware verification and emulation. You possess a deep understanding of ASIC/SoC design and verification processes, and you are proficient in HVL languages like SystemVerilog, C/C++, Unix/Linux, and scripting languages. You have hands-on experience with hardware emulators or prototyping platforms, and you are knowledgeable about key protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, and DDR. You are an excellent communicator, capable of interacting with customers and peers alike, and you have a proven ability to create and deliver technical training material. You are self-motivated, eager to learn, and driven to achieve excellence in your field.

The location for this role is flexible between Reading / UK, Paris region, Grenoble or The Netherlands

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing our customers with technical and engineering expertise in their ASIC design hardware verification process, using our HAV Platforms and Solutions.
  • Pitching Synopsys Emulation and Prototyping HAV solutions to potential customers.
  • Analyzing customers' verification methodologies and targets, and planning platform and Testbench solutions.
  • Driving and executing Synopsys HAV product evaluations on customers' designs.
  • Supporting customers in the deployment of HAV products, from RTL code compilation and synthesis to SoC-level full functionality bring-up on the systems.
  • Hands-on bring-up of design, testbenches, including interface protocols, transactors, memory models, SpeedAdapters, C++ code, and automation scripts.
  • Regularly interacting with customers as their first contact to address any quality issues or required improvements in our products and their collaterals.
  • Working internally with R&D teams to provide feedback on products, track development processes, and roadmaps.
  • Collaborating with the Sales team on account strategies and business growth opportunities.

  • Supporting the growth of Synopsys' market presence by pitching our HAV solutions to potential customers.
  • Strengthening Synopsys' reputation as a leader in hardware-assisted verification and emulation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in ASIC/SoC design and/or verification processes.
  • Direct experience with hardware emulators or prototyping platforms is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HVL languages like SystemVerilog, C/C++, Unix/Linux development environment, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of key protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, and DDR.
  • Strong HW (RTL)/SW (C++/Scripts) code debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven self-learning skills and high motivation to gain expertise.
  • Ability to create and deliver high-level technical training material.

We help our customers achieve their hardware verification and software bring-up targets with our products, while collaborating with R&D teams on product improvements and future technologies. We are a dynamic and innovative team, dedicated to providing exceptional technical support and driving the success of Synopsys' HAV solutions.
