Job summary

VodafoneThree is seeking a Senior Engineer (SRE) to build, operate and improve the reliability of customer-facing platforms. You will own observability, automation and incident reduction while collaborating with software engineers, security, and product teams.

You will design, implement and maintain cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, AWS and Kubernetes, using Terraform and IaC, with a focus on logging, metrics and service health reporting for scalable performance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS or multi-cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and deployment automation.
• Monitoring, observability, telemetry, SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Incident management and root cause analysis processes.
• Production-grade code and automation in Python/Go/Java.

Responsibilities

• Own service reliability outcomes through SLIs, SLOs and error budgets.
• Drive improvements in platform availability, resilience and performance.
• Eliminate operational toil through automation and self-service.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response.
• Perform root cause analysis and deliver preventative actions.
• Improve operational readiness with runbooks and playbooks.
• Design and maintain cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, AWS and Kubernetes.
