Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking a Senior Database Developer to own and evolve the core data platform in a London hybrid setup. You’ll shape data architecture, design enterprise SQL Server solutions and drive performance across production systems and new projects.

The role requires deep SQL Server and T‑SQL expertise, strong data modelling, and experience building data pipelines with dbt. You will work with engineering and product teams across international functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SQL Server experience with deep SQL skills.
• Expert-level T-SQL and data modelling knowledge.
• Strong data architecture experience and decision making.
• Hands-on with SQL Server In-Memory OLTP.
• Experience with dbt, SSIS/SSRS and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with data warehousing (Kimball/Inmon) and release processes.
• Exposure to Databricks or Snowflake, cloud data services.

Responsibilities

• Own database development and data architecture across platforms.
• Design and optimise enterprise SQL Server solutions and schemas.
• Improve queries, indexes, and overall database performance.
• Diagnose production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Build data pipelines using dbt and support SSIS/SSRS.
• Manage releases, migrations, versioning and rollback strategies.
• Apply warehousing principles across operational/analytic workloads.
• Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers and document designs.
• Support future platform evolution with modern data tech.
