Job summary

Lorien’s client, a fast-growing SAAS company with a strong reputation, seeks a Senior SQL Developer to join the Glasgow/Edinburgh team in a hybrid role. The position emphasizes SQL, SSRS, and data configuration while contributing to the next phase of the platform’s evolution.

You will lead technical projects, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust designs, tests, and release strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills including data querying, manipulation and performance tuning.
• Experience with financial reconciliations software/tooling.
• Ability to lead on technical projects and liaise with staff of varying disciplines.
• Ability to mentor internal staff and liaise with external representatives.

Responsibilities

• Take the reins as an SME for solution configurations, leading implementation and testing of low-code solutions and scoping projects.
• Deliver against business objectives by translating requirements into designs and improvements with the team.
• Ensure output from the team via mentoring/reviews, releases, validation, and cross-team alignment.
• Support Agile practices and stay abreast of new trends to improve processes.
