First Recruitment Group is seeking a Data Architect to design scalable, business-critical data solutions across a complex enterprise environment in Scotland. The role offers a flexible hybrid model between home and client offices in Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen.

You will shape data domain architectures, oversee data modelling and integration, collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into data requirements, and ensure data quality and interoperability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in data architecture or data modelling delivering scalable, well-structured solutions.
• Experience in complex environments with data integration at scale.
• Ability to think strategically and link data decisions to business outcomes.
• Confident with stakeholders; able to explain complex ideas and influence decisions.
• Ability to analyze and improve data flows, integration and quality for business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve data domain architectures that support business activities and are scalable to long-term goals.
• Design the structure and layout of data systems and platforms, assessing impacts of business change on data architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into clear data requirements and build trusted relationships.
• Ensure project data designs align with the overall data architecture and resolve issues early to support delivery.
• Work with application and integration teams to deliver reliable, well-documented integrations that meet standards.
• Improve how data is structured, managed and shared to drive quality, consistency and interoperability across the organisation.
