Job summary

Miratech is seeking a Senior Speech Scientist / Conversational AI Analyst to support the migration, testing, evaluation, and optimization of an enterprise-scale Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) built on Google Conversational AI technologies.

The role partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, Data, Risk and Compliance to improve conversational performance, automation effectiveness, and customer outcomes within a regulated financial-services environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Speech Recognition, Conversational AI, NLU, Speech Analytics, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience analyzing speech outputs, transcripts, intents and conversational failure patterns.
• Strong understanding of ASR concepts and language modelling.
• Experience evaluating NLU with metrics like precision, recall, F1, and out-of-domain detection.
• Experience with enterprise IVR/voicebot/IVA technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, R or equivalent analytics language.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production audio, transcripts, and outputs to identify performance improvements.
• Evaluate and optimize ASR accuracy across accents and languages, improving key metrics.
• Develop intents, entities, training phrases, and routing logic for better experiences.
• Design evaluation datasets and validation frameworks for standard and edge cases.
• Assess NLU, prompts, and AI behaviors for safety, bias, and compliance.
• Lead migration of legacy systems to Google Conversational AI and monitor post-launch.
• Lead testing, A/B testing, dashboards, and reporting to measure business impact.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Ops, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams.
