Job summary

BCUHB East is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult SLT Service. The post offers up to full-time hours, with options for part-time and job share, and is based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

You will work predominantly on the Stroke pathway, assess adults with communication and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues. Welsh language skills are desirable; English or Welsh speakers welcome.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in SLT
• HCPC registration
• CPD portfolio up-to-date
• Membership of appropriate clinical network group
• Other professional qualification relating to clinical practice

Responsibilities

• Support Stroke pathway and adult SLT caseload.
• Work across acute inpatient, community, ALD and voice settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver patient-centred care.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Welsh language skills are desirable; English/Welsh speakers welcome.
