Job summary

The Bridge Care Centre Middlesbrough is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to manage a complex caseload of residents, delivering person-centred assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead swallowing programmes, conduct detailed dysphagia assessments, collaborate with nursing and dietitians, supervise therapy assistants, and contribute to care planning. HCPC registered therapists with a passion for patient-centred outcomes are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
• Experience working with families.
• Evidence of continuing Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex speech and language therapy caseload.
• Carry out detailed assessments using formal and informal tools.
• Provide MDT input to care planning and decision-making.
• Lead communication-focused therapy groups and train assistants.
• Support colleagues on capacity issues and promote patient-centred care.
