The successful candidate will work predominantly with adults who have acquired and progressive neurological conditions. The role will involve providing specialist assessment and therapy to adult patients who have been referred to the Doncaster Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team, the Neurological Rehabilitation Outreach Team, and general community caseloads (including care homes). We also receive referrals from the physical and mental health inpatient wards.
The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. The post will involve working in a variety of settings including patients' own homes, care homes, inpatient wards, and outpatient clinics. The successful candidates must be competent in the assessment and management of dysphagia or working towards completion of a recognised post-graduate qualification/competencies.
