Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
  • Annual Salary:£46,148 - £52,809 DOE (Pro Rata)

Joina leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. We are seeking a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our dynamic team at West Heath House. This role includes a£3000 Golden Hello Bonus(T&Cs Apply) and offers the opportunity to provide strategic, professional leadership within a highly regarded multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work autonomously within your multidisciplinary team to assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual service users, involving their social networks to overcome barriers.
  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions in areas such as social communication, cognitive communication, and communication partner training.
  • Manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
  • Offer training and support to staff and service users' social networks, enhancing their ability to assist in the rehabilitation process.
  • Play a key role in service and organisational development within the neurobehavioral rehabilitation setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, registered with the HCPC.
  • Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
  • Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI, including social and cognitive communication.
  • Minimum of 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the overall treatment and rehabilitation of service users.
