Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in South Molton is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to support a from North Devon across a rehabilitation ward. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to maximise patient independence and achieve individual goals through creative, patient-centred care.

The role offers autonomous practice with opportunities for professional development, supervision of students and staff, and involvement in service development.

Qualifications

• Autonomous practitioner with postgraduate experience or training.
• Experience in complex discharge planning and equipment provision.
• Experience supervising Therapy Clinical Support Workers and OT students.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop rehabilitation plans to maximise independence.
• Set patient-centred goals and plan/ deliver rehabilitation in partnership with the MDT.
• Deliver individual and group rehabilitation interventions.
• Supervise Therapy Clinical Support Workers and OT students and contribute to service development.
• Collaborate to develop an integrated and supportive therapy service.
