Job summary

Astroscale UK (ASUK) is seeking a technically strong Senior Computer Vision engineer to join our UK-based Computer Vision team, a key part of our global Algorithms and Software Group. You will design, develop, verify, and deploy advanced computer vision algorithms and software for spacecraft and ground systems.

You will work on space object detection, 6DoF pose estimation, sensor fusion, and tests, collaborating with Systems and GNC teams.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial or research experience in computer vision.
• Strong understanding of CV principles, image processing and DL techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CV algorithms for space object detection and tracking.
• Support architecture, requirements, and performance budgets for CV subsystems.
• Test and validate CV software with hardware-in-the-loop campaigns.
• Collaborate with Systems, GNC, Flight Dynamics to ensure compatibility.
• Review colleagues' work and mentor junior engineers.
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in CV for space missions.
