Levy UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Sous Chef at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, Birmingham, to lead the men’s first-team kitchen, align menus with performance nutrition, and mentor junior chefs. The role supports training ground operations, with potential matchday involvement at Villa Park.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior kitchen roles, ideally in elite sport or high-performance environments.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Solid understanding of sports nutrition and performance-led cooking.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the training ground kitchen for the men’s first team.
• Oversee food preparation, service, and presentation to elite standards.
• Collaborate with nutritionists and chefs to deliver nutrition-aligned menus.
• Provide mentorship and development for junior chefs.
• Lead menu planning and innovation with a focus on fresh, performance nutrition strategies.
• Ensure food safety, allergen management, and safety compliance across kitchens.
• Manage stock, ordering, and waste reduction to control costs.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet the team’s needs.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards during training and matchdays.
