The role |
The Senior Sous Chef will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.
Responsibilities include |
- Creating a caring and supportive environment where your team feels valued and celebrated. Prioritizing talent development and role modeling a coaching culture.
- Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
- Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understanding the financial aspects of the kitchen including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
- Building a coaching culture within your team, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Being a proactive problem solver, able to make quick decisions and think on your feet.
What we look for |
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a focus on performance and positive behavior in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a considerate and caring approach, ensuring your team feels supported and heard.
- Proven experience in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock management.
- Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and engage teams to thrive in their roles and careers.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
- A forward-thinking approach and quick decision-making skills.
