Job summary

BAO London is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen with care and consistency, working closely with the Head Chef to run day-to-day operations and uphold the brand's high standards. You’ll guide a talented team, ensure top-quality dishes, and help set a calm but focussed tone on shift.

Immediate start in a fast-paced, growth-minded kitchen. The role offers a 6-shift week across five days, with paid overtime, and clear paths for development within BAO’s kitchen culture and training

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef in a quality-focused kitchen.
• Ability to lead the kitchen team and maintain high standards.
• Confident in kitchen systems, planning, and cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in running smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead service and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation across dishes.
• Manage prep schedules, ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Coach and support junior team members to build a kind, capable kitchen culture.
• Assist with rota planning, costings, and food safety compliance.
