Concept Technical is seeking a skilled Snr Sous Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef, supervise the kitchen during service, and drive consistent high standards across food preparation, presentation and service.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering excellent dining experiences. Salary £34k–£36k with gratuities, and opportunities to advance within a professional kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a kitchen team in a high-volume environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of professional food preparation and cooking methods.
• Proven ability to lead, support and motivate a team while maintaining high standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety practices.
• Experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings.
• High level of culinary ability and passion for producing excellent food.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills; able to prioritise during busy services.
• Confident leadership style with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with preparation, cooking, plating and presentation to required standards.
• Supervise the kitchen team during service to maintain smooth operations and clear communication.
• Monitor food preparation and production to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Coach, train and develop less experienced kitchen staff.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate ingredient orders and store food correctly to reduce waste.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and compliant with hygiene and safety requirements.
• Work closely with front-of-house to ensure coordinated service.
• Assist menu development with creative ideas and seasonal produce.
• Check all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality, presentation and service expectations.
• Support Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations and take charge when required.
