Job summary

De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in a busy hotel kitchen serving breakfast, conferences, restaurants and weddings.

You will lead the brigade during service, organise the team around events, manage stock, costs and waste, and mentor junior chefs to develop their skills; in the Head Chef's absence you will uphold standards of food quality and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a large hotel, events venue or high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a busy brigade during service.
• Good eye for detail and strong focus on food quality, cost control and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the brigade during service and keep standards high across breakfast, conferences, restaurant and events.
• Organise the kitchen around service needs and events.
• Assist with ordering, stock control and monitoring food costs and waste.
• Develop and support junior chefs to learn and grow within the team.
• In the Head Chef's absence, take responsibility for the kitchen and uphold food hygiene standards.
