The role:
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to reach their potential while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.
What you will do:
- Create a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes and nurturing talent, role-modeling a coaching culture within the management team.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and equipping your team with the necessary skills and mindset.
- Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand financial aspects such as gross profit, stock control, and labour costs; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build a coaching culture, collaborating with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Be a proactive problem solver, able to make quick decisions and think on your feet.
What we look for:
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a focus on performance and positive behavior in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with genuine conversations that make your team feel supported and heard.
- Experience maintaining high standards in food, health, and safety.
- Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
- Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team, fostering growth and development.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and belongs.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make swift decisions.
