Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The Role |
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to reach their potential while driving restaurant performance and achieving excellent results.
What You’ll Do |
- Create a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes and nurturing talent, role-modeling a coaching culture within the management team.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and equipping your team with the necessary skills and mindset.
- Maintain impeccable food, health, and safety standards, understand the financial aspects of the kitchen including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively spot opportunities for improvement.
- Build a coaching culture within your team, working closely with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering both personal and professional growth.
- Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of making quick decisions and thinking on your feet.
What We Look For |
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance through positive actions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to have meaningful conversations that ensure your team feels supported and heard.
- Proven experience in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
- Ability to manage labor costs effectively, reacting to changing demands.
- An inspiring leader who motivates their team to flourish and progress in their careers.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
- A proactive problem solver, able to think quickly and adapt to challenges.
