Harrier House Care Home is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Chef Manager in delivering nutritious, varied meals for residents with individual dietary needs. You will prepare and cook fresh meals, manage stock, and help maintain high standards of presentation and mealtime experience.

Based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, the role requires day shifts, a 40-hour week, and benefits including DBS, pension and uniform. Join a supportive team focused on quality care.

Qualificações

• Previous experience working as a Chef, ideally preparing meals for high-volume catering environments.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, stock control and stock rotation.
• Experience supervising or supporting a kitchen team is desirable.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals that meet a range of dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and infection prevention procedures.
• Budget awareness with the ability to support effective stock and cost management.
• Excellent organisation, communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, proactive and passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare fresh meals, maintain stock levels and rotation.
• Monitor food quality and support day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Chef Manager.
• Assist with menu planning and catering for events and celebrations.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and hygiene procedures meet regulatory standards.
