The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you’ll be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering outstanding results.

What you do:

• Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes. Prioritize nurturing and developing talent within your team, role modeling a coaching culture within the management team.
• Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards for every dish, whether through your own efforts or by empowering your team with the necessary skills and mindset.
• Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand the financial performance of the kitchen, including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively spot opportunities.
• Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your head chef on recruitment and ongoing development. Foster personal and professional growth within your team.
• Be a forward-thinking problem solver, able to think on your feet and make quick decisions.

What we look for:

• Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance through positive behavior in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Strong communication skills with genuine conversations that ensure your team feels heard and supported.
• Experience maintaining high standards for food, health, and safety.
• Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
• Experience managing labor costs and reacting to changing demands.
