Job summary

The Seven Stars in Brocton, part of the Parogon Group, is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and lead the kitchen brigade. Join a gastro-pub environment near Cannock Chase, delivering pub classics, steaks and seafood with care, while developing your team and refining service.

This part-time role offers 32 hours per week, a clear path to Head Chef, and a total package around £31,950 per year including bonus and service.

Ready for the step before Head Chef? We're on the hunt for an awesome Senior Sous Chef to help us take off at The Seven Stars! The Seven Stars in Brocton sits just minutes from Cannock Chase – a relaxed gastropub with a beer garden, an outdoor bar and a heated Tipi for celebrations. Our kitchen cooks pub classics, steaks, burgers and seafood with fresh ingredients and plenty of care.

Here’s what we offer:

• Up to £14.50 per hour (Approx. £1,860 every 4-weeks or £24,130 pa)
• Bonus of up to £2,000 a year – based on KPIs that are achievable and impactful
• Shared Service charge (Avg. £5,820 pa)
• Total Potential Package = £31,950 per year
• Part time – 32 hours a week: solid, regular hours with a better work-life balance
• A clear path to Head Chef

The role

As a vital piece of our kitchen leadership team, you'll work closely with your Head Chef and General Manager – running the kitchen when your Head Chef is off, developing the brigade and delivering food that keeps our guests coming back for more.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running the kitchen day to day and stepping up when the Head Chef is off
• Leading, training and inspiring the brigade
• Delivering our menus consistently, with meticulous attention to detail
• Supporting with ordering, stock, labour and food safety
