Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Overall responsibility for food quality and presentation, sent out to customers.
- Maintaining a positive and engaged team through 1:1 meetings, incentives, and recognition.
- Conducting inductions for all new starters in line with company procedures.
- Managing the Sous Chefs to ensure all training meets company standards.
- Ensuring all kitchen staff follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and kitchen procedures.
- Managing food inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed.
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Handling customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service.
- Treating everyone with respect and remaining calm at all times.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgment and minimal direction.
