Sopwell House is seeking a passionate Sommelier to lead the wine experience across two award-winning restaurants and our hotel bar. You will shape the beverage journey of a five-star property, working with an exceptional cellar and ambitious menus.

Qualifications

• Proven sommelier or senior wine experience in luxury hotel or premium hospitality.
• Excellent palate with genuine passion for wine and guest experience.
• Confident communicator and mentor capable of leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Curate and develop wine lists for two restaurants and hotel bar.
• Guide guests with thoughtful wine and food pairings.
• Own the wine cellar and beverage stock, sourcing and inventory.
• Train restaurant and bar teams to raise wine knowledge and service standards.
• Host tastings, pairing dinners and masterclasses for guests.
• Support the hotel bar with beverage offerings.
• Manage beverage costs and margins to drive department performance.
