Job summary

HCLTech in Manchester is seeking an experienced MDM Architect to define and lead data architecture and MDM strategy across programs. You will evaluate COTS MDM options, design bespoke solutions, and ensure secure, compliant delivery with real-time data patterns, working closely with engineering and delivery teams.

You will also lead architectural oversight across the data product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, governance, and security requirements while mobilising

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in data architecture, including MDM strategy, solution selection, integration and implementation.
• Strong understanding of GCP or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Practical familiarity with dbt, Python and SQL-based data engineering (architecture-level, not necessarily daily hands-on coding).
• Track record operating in large, regulated enterprise environments (financial services experience is a strong plus, not mandatory).
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills — able to work directly with delivery teams, not just produce documents.
• Ready to mobilise quickly; profiles requiring extended notice periods are unlikely to be considered.
